Charles Schwab import guide
Schwab exports your transaction history (every buy and sell, with fees) as CSV. Import that file into TradeJournal.dev — not the Realized Gain/Loss report, which lists closed tax lots rather than your executions.
Log in to Schwab and open the account's History → Transactions view.
Set the date range and use Export to save the transactions as CSV.
Sign in (free), open Trades → Add trades, and drop the CSV. TradeJournal.dev recognises the Schwab transactions export and reads its dates, sides and fees itself, so there's nothing to map. Rows already in your account are skipped, so re-importing an overlapping range is safe.
Schwab's export has dates but no times of day, so time-of-day findings don't apply to those trades. Post-TD-Ameritrade-merger, some accounts use the thinkorswim/Schwab combined platform — see the ThinkOrSwim guide if that's you. Stocks and ETFs only for now: option rows are not imported. As of 2026.
